I started my career in law enforcement with the McFarland Police Dept. in 1973 as a patrol officer. In 1974 I went to work for the Kern County Sheriff’s Dept. where I retired in 2009. During my career with KCSO I worked various assignments including, Substations, Main Jail, Lerdo Facility, Desk Officer, Communication Center, Transportation Unit, Gang Enforcement, Detective Division.
In 2009 I returned to work for the Delano Modified Correctional Facility as a Shift Supervisor and Watch Commander. Additionally, I also taught in the POST Academy, I attended a Dept. of Homeland Security WMD/NBC Agents training class and I am a Haz-Mat Instructor and EMT, teaching First Aid and CPR.
I retired again in 2014 and enjoy spending time with my grandchildren.
